What if this dog were a different shape?

Bill Johnson of the Rocky Mountain News has been a good campaigner against breed-specific legislation, writing of the injustices suffered by people because of the shape of their dogs. Now Mr. Johnson writes a different story, about a rescue chow mix. Read it here.

Would the City of Denver forgive this dog for biting? If so, then why not a dog of a different shape? One with less hair? Shorter legs? Why does the shape of a dog make such a difference to its fate?

Only the twits in Denver City Hall think they know.

But they don't.

Before Nelson discovered 'pit bulls', likely thanks to his AR buddies, he was all about Chows.

Wonder if Bill knows that? And yes, Bill is a great guy, reporterwise.
