If you want to donate to one or more organizations helping in Haiti, try CanadaHelps.org. There's a list of charities raising funds to help in Haiti here.
CanadaHelps is a secure online donation site, you can donate by credit card or direct withdrawal from your bank account, and (it seems tacky to bring it up, but...) you get the tax receipt by e-mail.
You can donate to any of Canada's 83,000 charities through CanadaHelps, including animal rescues.

Thanks for posting that info. You can also send a cheque to Canadian Red Cross, 5700 Cancross Court, Mississauga, L5R 3E9 and mark the memo section of your cheque Haiti Earthquake 2010. Or text (Rogers - $5. will be added to your cell bill) to HELP 1291. You get a response asking for confirmation and you simply text back YES.
