Seems like the government of China doesn't want the world or even people within China to know it's snatching dogs from their owners and beating them to death....China has blocked the My Dog Votes and the Vigil websites. Read about it here.

Are dog owners dissidents? Well, if they aren't, they darn well should be. Dog ownership, dog owners and dogs are under attack by animal rights extremists (who think that the animal's only right is to die, thanks PETA and HSUS), bottom-line-motivated media outlets controlled by a miniscule number of global conglomerates, lazy-a** vote-whoring and fear-mongering politicians, and the great uninformed and unwashed masses (delete the "m").

What will you do when they come for your dog? For your cat? For what remains of your rights, when you sat on your fat butt while everyone else had theirs whittled away?

Will anyone be left standing?

Never rains but it pours.

OK, my DSL has died an untimely death because of problems with the ancient phone line (thanks, Bell, ya dorks, you were supposed to replace the line over a year ago), so I'm back on dialup which totally sux.

On top of very recently starting a new job and preparing to move from a house into an apartment (which means some serious downsizing and throwing-out), I have a very ill elderly parent and will be making many hospital trips to visit.

Sooo, my blog is going on hold for a while...guest columns welcome, you know where to send them.

- to hopefully inspire people to stand up for their rights as dog owners, as voters and know there is a HUGE support network beyond just us pushing to have this law repealed.
