Don't buy Nike

Nike is supplying product to Michael Vick. Nike Canada confirmed this in an e-mail to me. Michael Vick, who fought dogs, tortured dogs, and brutally killed dogs by drowning, repeatedly smashing them on the ground, electrocuting them.

If this is the type of "person" Nike wants to associate with, condoning vicious animal cruelty and dogfighting for the sake of bux, I will never spend another dollar on its products.

Chicobandido has an excellent letter penned to Nike...read it here.

H/T to Chicobandido for this....I don't have speakers so I don't know what the audio is, but the visual really got me. It's from the Jimmy Kimmel Show.

If you want to contact Nike Corporate to express your disgust with its decision to supply Vick with product, I suggest writing to Philip H. Knight, its Chair of the Board of Directors; Mark G. Parker, President and CEO; and Charlie Denison, President Nike Brand.

Send your letters to Nike World Headquarters, One Bowerman Drive, Beaverton, OR 97005-6453 USA.

For Europe, send your letters to Nike EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) Headquarters, Colosseum 1, 1213 NL Hilversum, The Netherlands.

Nike might be a good target for a "say on pay" movement by its shareholders. I say that if Nike supports an athlete who brutally used and murdered dogs, the directors and executives should make substantial personal financial contributions to Bad Rap, Best Friends and Recycled Love that helped save the canine victims of Michael Vick. NOT to Peta or Humane $ociety of the United $tates, who wanted to kill the dogs.

Read the Sports Illustrated article about these dogs, and tell me who the vicious creatures are in this story.
