I personally am disgusted by an organization that collects millions and millions of dollars on the pretence that the money is for animals, but does not run one single animal shelter and pays its chief mouthpiece a six-figure salary.
I'm glad to see that HSUS's Katrina fund-sucking is being investigated. I remember one small charity that went to Katrin and actually rescued animals, being asked by HSUS for a boat so Wayne Pacelle or someone could showboat for the media. HSUS showed up with no supplies, no boats, no nothing.
Peta is being investigated by the DEA for use of restricted drugs. To kill animals and throw their bodies into dumpsters.
HSUS and Peta are, IMHO, political lobby groups that should not have tax-deductible status. I'd rather they disappeared.

Unwarranted persecution by tin-pot politicos
Read about it on Caveat.
This is what happens when the masses are lulled into complacency and swallow propaganda whole.
Don't be part of the masses. Educate yourself, inform yourself, and fight any government attempt to legislate any law-abiding citizen into second-class citizenship.
And VOTE on October 10, 2007.

We should roast half-baked Dalton
One of Dalton McGuinty's lead advisors for his campaign put an incredibly offensive item on his blog, thinking it was "funny"...proving that there are too few brain cells and too much testosterone in McGuinty's campaign team. Read about it here, and here.
Dalton refuses to apologize to a female MPP (and the women of the province) for the behaviour of his lead advisor, but apologized quickly when a government drudge made an offensive remark in an e-mail and the media got their teeth into it.
McGuinty's refusal to apologize and his refusal to remove Warren Kinsella from his election team is a clear indicator of his stance on women's issues. This is unacceptable behavior on the part of the Premier of Ontario and given his track record of not thinking or apparently caring about women's issues (refer back to his plan to entrench shari'a law, religious law, in the Arbitration Act), leads me to believe that women should vote en masse against the Ontario Liberals.
